Reacting to Bayer’s words, he said: “What you said is an extreme example. The world is normal after all.” According to Fodor, the liberal idea does not mean that everything is possible, for the liberal the similar freedom of the other person is important. “As long as someone does something and does not cause harm to others, they can pretend to be anyone,” he said.
In the “debate”, the opposing pair of nation states versus the United States of Europe came up, in which Zsolt Bayer explained his theory: “A person has three main identities into which all others can be channeled: religious, national, and gender identity. Religious identity no longer exists in the Western world, it has practically ceased to exist in the Western part of Europe. The removal of national identity is also progressing quite well, and gender identity has begun to disappear before our eyes – said the publicist, who “somewhere” read that there are 72 gender identities today, but to which he says: “Bullshit, mama!”
According to Gábor Fodor, at the same time, “it is evident that the sovereignty of the nation-states exists, but at the same time the Union cannot function in any other way, only if it is unified on certain issues”, and in this sense there is a European identity.
