What do Pandora and UNICEF have in common? One Love initiative

Iconic song, UNICEF, muse and jewelry – this seemingly incongruous combination aims to support the most vulnerable during the coronavirus pandemic. And that with the help of initiative One Lovethe iconic song reimagined by Bob Marley’s family.

Help in difficult times

The UNICEF One Love initiative is alongside the company Pandorawhich will match every dollar donated up to $1 million, is joined by model, activist and Pandora muse Halima Aden. “As the muse of the Pandora brand, I am really excited that Pandora is supporting the efforts of an organization that is very close to me personally, which is UNICEF. I was once present as a UNICEF ambassador at the end of the chain of their activity, specifically at the reception of the services they provided to children from all over the world in the refugee camps where these children had to grow up, and I understand how devastating the impact of COVID-19 can be if spread in refugee camps,” said Halima Aden, who, together with other influencers, helps the initiative spread its message through social networks. It addresses the public not only through Instagram, but also through the Tik Tok application, through which a song associated with the collection was released.

Love makes the world go round

The entire initiative got its name from Bob Marley’s song from 1977, which became an anthem of the desire for unity. Hit One Love now the family of the late singer has re-recorded and the proceeds will also go to the UNICEF account. “My father composed the song One Love about unity, peace and universal love over forty years ago, at a time when there was so much suffering in the world. Even at a time when we cannot meet, his message remains valid and today we can overcome this global crisis if we unite and become one love and one heart.” Cedella Marley clarified. Pandora is aware that unity and helping others are the most relevant topics at this time. At the same time, it aims to make the post-pandemic world fairer for every child.
