In the simplest terms, maintenance cleaning means interior cleaning of rooms in various office spaces, production buildings, educational and medical institutions, car repair shops, etc. When customers turn to Forus, the first question is of course – how much does our cleaning service cost?
The price can sometimes depend on very different factors. We will explain in more detail how the price of maintenance cleaning is formed and why you should choose a professional cleaning partner to provide the service.
Focusing on core business
Forus board member Tarvo Priimägi has long-term experience in the field of cleaning. In his work, Forus occasionally comes across situations where the client thinks that one cleaning per week would be enough.
“I am convinced that it is not possible to provide a high-quality and sustainable service with one cleaning procedure per week. This means that the cleaning service goes to the site once a week and cleans all the rooms, including the sanitary rooms,” explains Priimägi. Customers don’t immediately think that the next cleaning is only in a week, including the toilets.
Every company wants to focus on its core business, and none of the employees should focus on cleaning tasks that can be successfully done by a professional janitorial service partner.
The number of cleaning times could depend on the intensity of use of the premises and the degree of dirt generated. If there are many users on a daily basis and the premises get dirty quickly, Priimägi recommends cleaning daily. If the intensity is low, the number of repetitions can be reduced.
Priimägi definitely does not recommend cleaning your business premises or building less than three times a week. It’s really minimal and ensures that surfaces are tidy, preserved and maintained. If maintenance cleaning is done only once a week, dirt accumulates on the surfaces over a long period of time and they can no longer be cleaned. Accordingly, the surfaces require additional special cleaning work, which ultimately can mean a higher cost for the customer.
Maintenance cleaning price
When asking for a price quote, you should think about what your expectations are for the level of cleanliness and what my real needs are. Based on this, a Forus specialist will help prepare a preliminary concept, which will be refined together with the client.
For a cleaning partner, it makes a big difference whether it is cleaning an office space, an industrial building, hotels, medical facilities or a car repair shop. The specifics of the objects and the degree of dirt resulting from them are different, and the time required for the work must be accurately calculated according to their specifics. In addition, different work and auxiliary tools and machines must be taken into account. “The cost of cleaning a one thousand square meter production building can be significantly higher than cleaning an office space of the same size,” confirms Priimägi.
80 percent of the price of the service and, as a rule, more is the labor cost.
Hiring your own cleaner is not cheaper!
Increasingly, building owners and occupiers prefer to outsource cleaning services rather than hiring cleaning services.
When ordering a service from a cleaning partner, the owner or occupier of the building can be sure that the service is of high quality and that the employees are trained. The cleaning service provider takes care of the necessary cleaning supplies and finds a replacement for an employee who is sick.
Tarvo Priimägi says that today’s customers are quite aware and have clear expectations of their cleaning partner.
Cleanliness creates emotion!
