Wondering what the smart Switch feature does in Samsung’s settings? We explain.
Samsung Smart Switch is a way to transfer the content from your old mobile to your new one. You can sync settings and the like with Samsung Cloud, but with Smart Switch you can also transfer photos, music files, yes simply everything you have in your old mobile. Perhaps the most important thing is that it works even if you have an iPhone. Then the phone looks for the corresponding apps to the ones you had in the iPhone in the Play Store and installs them. It doesn’t work 100% but is impressive enough and saves a lot of work.
Differences to Switch to Android: Google’s counterpart cannot transfer as much content, but above all you can so far only transfer data to Google’s own Pixel mobiles.
