What happens in the body if we do NOT eat protein of animal origin. Why are proteins from meat, fish, eggs and dairy so important for the body? So that we don’t end up with malnutrition. A doctor explains the importance of protein.
Malnutrition, right stirileprotv.ro, means the lack of animal protein in food. Human cells fail to renew themselves without the help of animal protein in food. But is too much protein bad for us?
Fish, meat, egg and dairy, only these foods contain complete proteins. It enters the digestive tract, and from them the body extracts its bricks, from which we are built. We call them amino acids. All the amino acids necessary for life come from foods of animal origin.
Assoc. Univ. Dr. Cristina Căpușă, primary nephrologist, says that the body has the ability to reject what it does not need.
“The body takes its bricks and throws away what it no longer needs. Uric acid results from this process. A healthy kidney, which has never been affected by anything, removes the products resulting from proteins”, explains the doctor.
Why not exclude meat, fish, egg, dairy proteins from the daily diet? Because from these we rebuild every cell. In the absence, malnutrition occurs. What does it mean?
Dr. Cristina Căpușa also says that “malnutrition, poor nutrition, does not mean that you lose weight, but that inside the cells and tissues no longer receive what they need. Malnutrition is a major factor in death. Malnutrition is not necessarily something that can be seen with the naked eye. You can be malnourished without being skin and bones.”
How much protein is needed for an adult?
One gram of animal protein per kilogram of body weight for a healthy adult. Daily. For example, for an adult of 70 kilograms – 70 grams daily.
If your kidneys are suffering, talk to your nephrologist about your daily protein intake.
Many extra pounds attack the kidneys
Suffering kidneys will suffer even more on a high protein diet. If you are overweight, do not start your weight loss program at the gym. And not with protein or amino acid supplements, say the doctors, according to the quoted source.
Doctor: Amino acid supplements stress both your liver and kidney
Prof. Univ. Dr. Laura Iliescu, internal medicine Fundeni Clinical Institute: “A young man who is obese has a degree of liver damage, he has a degree of kidney damage and he does not know that it is not manifested. He has some awareness from obesity, he takes supplements at the gym, that his trainer prescribes him what to do. Amino acid supplements stress both your liver and kidney. They feel tired and then, in order to exercise even more, they start taking supplements without knowing that they are not good for them. They want to lose weight, to heal from everything. And they take supplements and force the kidney”.
The kidney, suffering from fat, has enlarged filters. Protein supplements taken for the gym increase them even more. Once modified, they will also lose what they should not lose, that is, the proteins in the blood. Proteins appear in the urine summary. It is proof that the kidney is suffering. The development of chronic kidney disease does not hurt, but it destroys two vital organs.
