What makes Samsung My Files different from Google’s file manager? We explain

Samsung has a file manager for Android and so does Google. We explain the differences.

My Files is Samsung’s file manager, where you can browse files of different types and move them, for example to a memory card if the mobile has one, and you can link the file manager with your cloud services to move files to and from the mobile more easily. You can also delete files if it gets full.

Differences to Files by Google: Google’s file manager does not always come pre-installed and is not on Samsung mobiles, so you do not automatically get a duplicate function here. The apps are similar in function but have slightly different looks on the user interface. The main difference is that Samsung’s app has a recycle bin where you can undo deleted files for up to 30 days.
