Conflict, extreme weather and misinformation are the main global risks in 2025. This is the result of a survey conducted by the World Economic Forum. The research was done ahead of the annual meeting of world leaders in Davos, Switzerland.
Experts have identified armed conflicts, extreme weather and disinformation among the main global risks for the coming year, according to a new study by the World Economic Forum (WEF), cited by CNBC.
23% of respondents to the WEF’s “Global Risks Report” ranked armed conflict as the biggest threat for 2025.
A big risk for the second year in a row
Misinformation is considered a major risk for the second consecutive year, while environmental concerns such as extreme weather events, biodiversity loss and ecosystem collapse appear in the 10-year ranking.
The report is published shortly before the annual meeting of world leaders in Davos. About 3,000 leaders from more than 130 countries are preparing to take part in the meeting in Switzerland.
