What is The Last of Us series about?
The series “The Last of Us” tells a story set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity has been almost completely wiped out by a pandemic of a parasitic fungus, Cordyceps, which infects people, taking control of their bodies and turning them into brutal, mutated beings. The action begins 20 years after the outbreak of the epidemic, and the world is in ruins, full of quarantine zones, decimated cities and surviving people struggling to survive in the chaos.
The adaptation was based on the extremely popular video game of the same title, published by the studio Naughty Dog. The production retains the intense, emotional atmosphere of the original, focusing on the moral choices and difficult dilemmas faced by the characters.
