WhatsApp will allow individual setting of design themes.
Once again, WhatsApp is working on improvements to its app, which may not come as quickly as its competitors. In the latest beta version for Android (2.24.20.12), available on the Google Play Store, developers have introduced a new feature that allows users to choose their favorite chat theme from multiple design styles. Wabetainfo.com draws attention to it.
This new feature will make it possible to adjust the appearance of the chat according to the user’s preferences. WhatsApp is currently working on a collection of 11 preset themes that are customizable for both light and dark modes. New themes include, for example, the blue theme, which is compatible with both environments. The indigo theme was also introduced in the previous beta version.
What makes this feature interesting is the ability to customize not only the color of the message bubbles, but also the background of the chat. Each theme will contain a specific wallpaper that matches the color of the messages, ensuring a uniform and clear design. However, users will be able to change the wallpaper independently of the color of the bubbles, further customizing the look of their chat. For those who prefer the dark mode, there is also another welcome novelty – the ability to adjust the brightness level, which will ensure more comfortable use of the application in low-light environments.
Access to this new feature will be possible through the app’s settings, where users will be able to choose their default topic for all conversations. However, they will also have the opportunity to individually edit the topics for specific interviews. Another important feature is that only the user can see his selected topic, which means that the other party will not see any changes to the appearance of the chat.
Although this feature is still in the development phase, WhatsApp promises a full-fledged update in the near future.
