WhatsApp is testing the filtering of conversations according to its own lists

It is testing a communication service in an effort to improve its mobile application WhatsApp a new feature that will allow users to filter conversations based on specified lists. The portal brought the information WABetaInfo.

The feature was first revealed in August and is now rolling out to beta testers. Specifically in beta version android apps with number designation 2.24.22.5. These default filters are currently available to users – Unread, Favorited a Groups. However, in the beta version, they can already create customized contact lists and group chats.

They can then filter them based on the given list. To create a new list, just click on the icon + next to the default filters. The user then assigns himself to it selected contacts or group conversations. Once created, WhatsApp will automatically generate its own filter with the same name at the top of the conversation list.

This makes it easy to quickly find specific conversations without going through long lists. Lists are of course private a contactswhich you add to the list, to it they will not be notified. In total, it is possible to create up to 20 listsall of which you can edit once created, including changing the name and adding or removing people from it. You can also change the order of the filters. It is not yet known when the news will appear in a stable version.
