Almost everyone uses WhatsApp every day. But there are users who text with so many people that finding the right chat takes effort. That’s why WhatsApp has come up with something new: lists with chats that you can create yourself.
WhatsApp’s new feature allows you to filter chats by adding certain conversations to your own list. For example, you can make a list of people to whom you always want to respond quickly. You can then select such a list at the top of your chats in WhatsApp to see only those conversations.
You can also select a list that contains all your groups or a list that only shows you all chats with unread messages.
In the public test version
The feature for your own chat lists was recently leaked, but WhatsApp has now started testing it in a new beta version for Android, reports WABetaInfo. If you have that beta version of WhatsApp, you may already be able to try out the feature, but for most people it will have to wait a little longer. Still, it probably won’t be long before the feature comes to everyone.
Earlier this week it became clear that WhatsApp wants to launch new widgets on the iPhone soon. The widget for iOS 18 gives you faster access to recent or favorite chats from the iPhone home screen.
