WhatsApp Launches Voice Message Transcripts Feature

WhatsApp developers are rolling out a new feature called Voice Message Transcripts that will help users read voice messages when they don’t have a chance to hear them. started. Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp, explains the WhatsApp Voice Message Transcripts feature as follows:

“Sending a voice message makes connecting with friends and family even more personal. There is something special about hearing the voices of your loved ones even when you are far away. But sometimes, when you’re on the move, in a noisy place, or receive a long voice message, it may not be possible to stop and listen.

We’re excited to announce that you can use voicemail transcripts for these moments. You can convert voice messages to text so you can keep the conversation going no matter what you’re doing at the time.

“Transcripts are created on your device, so no one, including WhatsApp, can listen to or read your personal messages.”

Voicemail transcripts can convert any voicemail into regular text with on-device processing for extra privacy. WhatsApp also specifically states that “no one else can hear or read your personal messages.”

To use the feature Settings > chats > Voicemail transcripts You can easily turn transcripts on or off and select your transcript language by going to the menu. You will be able to see the transcript of voice messages by pressing and holding the message and tapping the “Transcribe” button.

WhatsApp says voicemail transcripts are being rolled out gradually, with a small number of language options available for now. This means all users will have access to this feature in the coming weeks. Unlike other browsers like Telegram, where transcripts are only available to paid subscribers, voicemail to text conversion on WhatsApp will be available for free to all users.

Let us remind you that WhatsApp also recently released the Message Drafts feature.
