WhatsApp will surprise with a translation function into different languages in an upcoming iOS and Android update
According to a New beta version spotted by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp will incorporate a function related to the automatic translation of messagesThis feature was seen in the beta of WhatsApp for Android in version 2.24.15.12 although there were already some indications in previous versions. It is an important improvement in order to improve communication in different languages. They just launched a new feature related to when we are added to unknown groups.
WhatsApp will allow you to translate messages received in a language other than yours
This new feature is still in development, so it will take some time before it can be launched to the public on operating systems such as iOS and Android. How will translation work on WhatsApp?
WABetaInfo points out that We can select one or several selected messages, so that if it is a recurring activity it could be automated for new messages.. Then you must select the language to translate these messages. Finally, a language pack will be downloaded (as it usually happens in translator apps) corresponding to specify the translation.
Within the message, a label will be indicated that the translation was done satisfactorily, so here it will be possible to differentiate which messages are translated and which are sent in the original language.
The translation process will be performed on the user’s device
The feature may take a while to launch because it will depend 100% on WhatsApp’s internal technology.. This means that translations will be processed on each device without resorting to external sources. WABetaInfo indicates that end-to-end encryption will be preserved without any detail.
Languages that will be part of the initial update include English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Arabic, Russian and Hindi.. Support for other languages will be coming on the fly with new updates.
This feature will be useful for users who have contacts in other countries and who do not have a command of a language other than their own, especially those that are not common such as Russian or Arabic. At iPadizate we follow all WhatsApp updates, don’t miss any of them.
