WhatsApp is releasing voice message transcriptions in beta form for the Android platform. The feature is now part of WhatsApp Beta (version 2.24.15.5) for Android and as the name suggests it will transcribe your voice messages. The same feature was previously released to iOS users last May.
WhatsApp voice message transcriptions are currently supported in English, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian and Hindi with more languages to be added soon. Users in the beta program who want to try the new feature will need to download an additional data pack that will ensure that all message transcripts are created on the device.
