FULL LIST of phones that WhatsApp will no longer work on. Starting October 24, WhatsApp will no longer work on certain older phones.

Outdated devices with few users will no longer receive security updates and will no longer have the necessary functionality to run WhatsApp.

Users with the affected devices will be notified via WhatsApp and given several “reminders” to upgrade or buy newer devices.

How do you know if your phone is affected by WhatsApp changes?

The change affects several well-known brands, including iPhone, Samsung, Huawei and LG. If you have a phone released a few years ago, you might want to check if it’s on the affected list.
