And wheat with 14% protein in circulation
In the first half of the week on the corn market, the demand was somewhat weaker than the supply and focused mainly on corn without analysis for aflatoxin. The long half of the week was calm, without major activity of stock market participants. Maize without aflatoxin analysis was sold in the price range from 18.00 to 18.50 dinars/kg without VAT, depending on the parity. The weighted price was 18.35 din/kg without VAT (20.19 din/kg with VAT), so compared to the previous week, the price increased by 1.93%. Corn was also traded at the CPT port parity at a price of 20.20 to 20.40 din/kg without VAT. This week, corn accounted for 39% of the weekly turnover.
Unlike the previous week, when there was a noticeable increase in the interest of exporters in the wheat market, this week there was a withdrawal of buyers and an increase in supply. Buyers’ attention was mostly focused on wheat with 11.5 to 12% protein. Exchange contracts were concluded in the price range from 21.50 to 22.50 dinars/kg without VAT, depending on quality and parity parameters. The weighted price was 22.23 din/kg without VAT (24.46 din/kg with VAT), and the price recorded a negative trend compared to seven days earlier (-1.53%). Wheat with 14% protein was also traded at a single price level of 26.00 din/kg without VAT.
Mineral fertilizers in demand
The soybean market is also characterized by very weak activity of participants this week. The difference in the parities of offered and requested goods made it difficult to conclude stock exchange contracts. One exchange contract was concluded at a price of 53.20 din/kg without VAT (58.52 din/kg with VAT). The one in question was concluded with the calculation of quality, and it was also the price weight. Compared to last week, the price was lower by 0.19%.
