When will the Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 be introduced? At CES? Or this year?

The presentation of the new generation of Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 GPUs is said to be just around the corner Or not? Will it be presented at CES 2025? Leakers can’t seem to agree.

In the coming months, Nvidia is expected to launch a new series of GeForce RTX 50 graphics cards, also known under the code name Blackwell. Well-known leaker Kopite7kimi recently hinted that the release of these graphics is already around the corner, but what exactly “soon” means remains unclear.

Although Kopite7kimi talks about a close date, German source Igor’s Lab claims that the official unveiling will probably not happen until January 2025, probably at the CES technology fair. It also reports that Nvidia’s partner companies only recently received the first technical samples of the GPU, indicating that public models are not yet ready to ship. The first tests and leaks of other details are sure to come, but it doesn’t look like it will be revealed yet.

CES 2025 thus seems like an ideal place where Nvidia could at least partially present its new GPU. There is speculation whether we will see an official launch or just an announcement with a more distant launch, as was the case with the 40 Super series last year. Jensen Huang is expected to keynote at the trade show and explain the key innovations within the RTX 50 series. So we will probably not get more information until CES 2025.
