What a top event, it’s a different Slovak television that broadcasts it. The battle for the biggest sports holidays has been a part of the media battle of broadcasters under the Tatras for several years.

The World Hockey Championship was broadcast by TV JOJ. Football Euro 2024 was shown for the first time on its screens by TV Markíza. However, the Olympic Games are still the biggest jewel of the public STVR.
The sums for the rights to all the mentioned events range in the order of millions of euros.
This also applies to the closest ones, which will be hosted by Paris for the third time in history.
The French metropolis has been preparing for the arrival of 10,500 athletes from 206 countries for a long time, who will compete in 32 sports divided into 48 disciplines.
They will compete for precious metals in one of 35 places in Paris or in other French cities or overseas.
STVR is not idle in the preparation either. State television prepared special pageon which fans will find everything essential.
In addition to the basic reporting or behind-the-scenes pictures from the numerous staff who traveled to Paris, he also prepared an almost non-stop broadcast of disciplines live with an emphasis on Slovak disciplines.
There will also be short recordings of attractive sports such as basketball and swimming.
Slovak viewers can also tune in to Eurosport or ČT Sport thanks to various TV providers, which will also bring a comprehensive package of TV broadcasts and news directly from Paris.
However, they can enjoy their program only through a television signal. Broadcasting live through websites will not be possible due to geoblocking.
In practice, this means that if you are in Slovakia, you can watch the live broadcast over the Internet only on the STVR website.
