The majority of the series and films available on Apple TV+ are American productions, but more and more content from other countries is gradually appearing there. Apple has now announced the premiere of the first German series produced for the service, titled “Where’s Wanda?”
“Where’s Wanda?” is a black comedy about a couple trying to find their missing daughter on their own after the police failed to do so. During their investigation, which involves wiretapping every house in the area, they accidentally discover secrets hidden by their neighbors. The main roles will be played by Heike Makatsch (“Love Actually” and “Resident Evil”), Axel Stein (“Way Down” and “Friction Drive”) and Lea Drinda (“Becoming Charlie” and “We Children of Zoo Station”). The film is directed by Christian Ditter (“How to Be Single” and “Biohackers”) and Tobi Baumann (“Pastewka” and “Pretending to Be Hitler”), and the script is by Oliver Lansley (“Flack” and “FM”) and Zoltan Spirandelli. (including “Vaya con Dios” and “Lulu”).
The premiere of the series “Where’s Wanda?” was announced for October 2 of this year. On that day, Apple will publish the first two of eight episodes. The next ones will be added to the Apple TV+ catalog every week on Wednesday.
