There are a lot of myths and half-truths circulating the internet about charging. Some have their origins in ancient times, when mobile phones had batteries based on different materials than today’s, some are complete fabrications, others, on the contrary, are based on truth, just not fully understood. There is also confusion about which charger is or is not suitable for a particular mobile phone, which we discussed earlier. It’s true that if you use a quality charger you won’t go wrong, but there will always be better and worse alternatives.
The charger market is huge and it is not in our power to choose the best ones completely objectively. One reason is that what is suitable for one device will be unnecessarily powerful for another. Another important parameter is the number of charging devices. Someone only has a phone, while others need to charge their watch, headphones, tablet and laptop in addition to their phone.
Fast charger for one device
If you only need to charge one device, or if you are limited by space, for example when traveling, it will be best to choose the charger that comes with the mobile phone – oh, that will be a hassle, right? Okay, so a charger of the same brand as the mobile phone.
Fast charging
Android refers to anything above 7.5 W as fast charging. Android 15 introduces a new division, when a power of at least 15 W will be required to qualify as fast charging. Therefore, we have also included chargers with a power below 20 W in this article, if they are of any interest.
Conversely, we haven’t included really powerful chargers that use proprietary protocols and only work with one model or series and need a special cable.
As long as we’re moving up to about 25W, it doesn’t really matter what you choose. This is a more or less basic value and probably any charger can deliver it. I myself have been using Samsung brand chargers for all devices for a long time. From personal experience, I can confirm that I have not yet come across a device of another brand that does not work with the Samsung charger. In the same way, charging cables from Samsung have probably the best-designed terminals that slide into the power port like nothing.
There are several variants to choose from, from 15 to 45 W. Chargers with lower power tend to have a USB-A port, while for higher powers we only find USB-C.
Watch out for fakes
When buying, beware of offers that are too good, especially on e-shops such as Internet marketplaces, because you can easily come across fakes.
Samsung EP-T4511XBE (45W)
It is a travel network charger with a maximum power of 45W and a USB-C output. The package also includes a 1.8 m long quality cable. This fast charger is especially suitable for higher models of Samsung phones and tablets, which can use 45 W power, but it will also work perfectly with any other device.

AlzaPower T200 Travel Charger (18 W)
This charger from the proven AlzaPower series does not stand out for its performance, but for the fact that it is modular and you can use it on the go. You can easily replace a Czech fork with an English, American or Australian one. We consider the USB-A connector to be an advantage, because it is completely universal and it is not a problem to charge devices with any connector with this charger.

Swissten network adapter USB-C 20W PD
Again, this 20W charger isn’t going to throw breakers, but it did impress us with its design. It is extremely thin and fits, for example, into a drawer with furniture pushed against it. In addition, thanks to the handy shape, you can place the mobile phone on the upper edge of the charger when charging, which will thus serve as a stand.

More power, more devices
Here the selection will be much wider. A typical representative will be a charger with two ports and a power of 45 W or with three ports and a power of 65 W. There are also chargers with, for example, five ports or with a power of 200 W, but these are so specific that they deserve their own article.
If the fast charger has multiple output ports, each of them will be marked with what power it has. A 45W charger might have a 15 + 30 configuration, for example, which means one port can handle a maximum of 15W and the other a maximum of 30W, for a total of 45W. Alternatively, the marking will be 15 + 45, in which case it is the maximum power for that port .
GaN (gallium nitride)
GaN technology in chargers means that a new, more efficient material (gallium nitride) is used instead of the usual material, which makes it possible to produce smaller and faster chargers. These chargers don’t heat up as much, use energy better and therefore can charge devices faster and are smaller than conventional chargers.
If you connect both ports in the first case, they can each deliver the declared power. In the second case, the given performance is delivered only if you connect only one port. When you plug in both ports, the available power is divided in the appropriate ratio. The difference is that in the second case you can really charge one device with the full power of the given charger.
Baseus GaN5 Pro, 2x USB-C, USB-A, 65W (CCGP120201)
A more advanced charger with three output ports. When connecting one port, it delivers full power of 65 W on USB-C and 60 W on USB-A, when connecting different combinations, the power is divided between the individual ports. The Baseus brand is reliable and I can recommend it, I myself have been using an older model of this charger for a long time.
