UPDATE The independent candidate Călin Georgescu is still in the first position in the preferences of the electorate from the diaspora, with 39.13% of the votes, shows the data published, in real time, on the website of the Permanent Electoral Authority, after the centralization of over 51% of the minutes from abroad.
Elena Lasconi, the USR candidate, is in second place, with 28.24% of the votes cast in the first round of voting.

* Mircea Geoană (independent) – 5.12%
* Marcel Ciolacu (PSD) – 3.71%
* Cristian Diaconescu (independent) – 1.86%
* Cristian Terheş (Romanian Conservative National Party) – 1.61%
* Ana Birchall (independent) – 0,69%
* Hunor Kelemen (UDMR) – 0.57%
* Ludovic Orban (Forta Dreptei) – 0.22%
* Sebastian Constantin Popescu (New Romania Party) – 0.18%
* Alexandra Păcuraru (Alternative Party for National Dignity) – 0.16%
* Silviu Predoiu (National Action League Party) – 0.15%.

Candidate Călin Georgescu led in the vote from the diaspora, followed by Elena Lasconi, according to the results after the centralization of 28.1% of the minutes, i.e. almost 100,000 votes out of a total of over 800,000.
