The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim takes place far in the past of Middle-earth, a time before Frodo and the Knights of the Ring. With this, a lot of completely new characters will be seen in the film.
On December 13th, the main hero of The Lord of the Rings: The Rohirrim War, which premieres in Finland, is Héra, voiced by Gaia Wise.
The official Plot Description tells the following about Héra’s background:
“Set 183 years before the events of the original film trilogy, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim chronicles the fate of the legendary King of Rohan of Helm Hammerhand’s royal house. A sudden attack by Wulf, a witty and merciless Dunlending Lord seeking revenge for his father’s death, forces Helm and his people to engage in a final, daring stand at the ancient fortress of Hornburg—a mighty fortress that will later be known as Helm’s Deep. Finding herself in an increasingly desperate situation, Héra, Helm’s daughter, must take up the fight against a deadly enemy bent on their complete destruction.”
And this is how Héra and the War of the Rohirrim is presented in a new video from Warner Bros.:
The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim also stars Succession star Brian Cox, who also appears in the video, as well as Luke Pasqualino, Miranda Otto, Lorraine Ashbourne, Benjamin Wainwright, Laurence Ubong Williams, Shaun Dooley, Michael Wildman, Jude Akuwudike, Bilal Hasna and Janine Duvitski.
