More details will be provided byautopsy on the victim’s body: in an initial external analysis of the body the medical examiner did not reveal any signs of violence. However, how he got those wounds still remains a mystery. The images from the video surveillance cameras will certainly help the investigators. Meanwhile, an initial inspection of the area around the 52-year-old’s building was found a piece of bottle e a large stain of blood. Among the few certainties there is also that Austoni left the house without his phone mobile phone and the walletsfor this reason and at first a robbery is ruled out. Everything will still have to be ascertained. But who was the victim?
The victim was the professor’s son Edoardo Austoniformer head of urology and andrology at the San Giuseppe hospital who died in 2012. Father Austoni was injured in a gun attack outside the clinic where he worked on 29 November 2006. He survived and died six years later. The facts of the father and son would not be traceable.
