– antique oak: it is a parquet which, thanks to a particular type of painting, takes on a worn appearance, from which the name itself derives; mainly it presents itself with dark and variegated shades.
– brushed oak parquet by Armony Floor : brushing is one of the most widespread finishes; it is obtained by working the parquet with special metal brushes, which highlight the natural grain of the parquet. It is a choice used by those who want to obtain a floor with a natural yet refined appearance. To the touch, brushed oak parquet feels rougher than a smooth finish. Precisely for this reason it is excellent both in combination with a rustic living context and in contrast with a mood minimal and contemporary.
– sawn oak: a very particular finish, which gives the parquet an extremely worn effect thanks to the fine horizontal sawings, these “irregular cuts” can be made on the entire plank or only on the edges. Also in this case, the ideal combination is by contrast, with an extremely modern furnishing style, or by affinity, with a vintage style.
Tips for installing oak parquet
For theinstallationyou can opt for glued installation or floating installation.
The glued installation of the Armony Floor parquet is made by gluing the slats to the underlying screed; this type of installation is generally used for all formats and especially for small ones, such as industrial parquet, predefined solid wood and planks smaller than 14 mm, since they require gluing to remain stable; the main advantage is the stability and noise reduction of the parquet.
The floating installation of natural oak parquet and all its variations can be used in the installation of Maxiplance Rovere Armony Floor.
The type of format, thanks to the length of the strips, of almost two metres, keeps the parquet stable without gluing and guarantees some advantages compared to glued installation: the parquet is placed on the screed and a line of vinyl glue is used only in the tapping to join the planks together, thus reducing the quantity of glue to be used to a minimum.

Parquet with the floating installation system is also used in case of imperfect or damp screed, as well as the possibility of using an underfloor heating system.
The increased noise of floating parquet can be minimized by installing a sound-absorbing mat between the parquet and the screed. Excluding particular cases, glued installation remains a choice that guarantees maximum stability.
