The Apple Watch Series 10 is a nice upgrade over the previous version and has a lot going for it. However, there is one reason why they are not worth buying, and that reason is not the price or the lack of functionality at all. The problem with smartwatches lies somewhere else entirely.

The Apple Watch Series 10 smart watch was introduced in the first half of September this year, and shortly after that it also reached the first customers. The design has hardly changed compared to the previous generation, but the display has been updated, which is now slightly larger, and this applies to both variants (42 mm and 46 mm). The change does not only concern its size, as the display has been given better readability when viewed from an angle.
It is also worth noting that it charges faster than the Watch Series 9 and is slightly lighter, so the watch does not interfere with your hand even when worn for a long time. We cannot forget the new and practical feature that is the detection of sleep apnea and a tuned operating system with support directly from Apple for several years. But why not get the Apple Watch Series 10?
Apple Watch Series 10 is hard to fix
iFixit took an inside look at the smartwatch and posted its findings on YouTube. Specifically, the 46 mm version was tested and the conclusion is that the repairability of the watch is not the best. As you can see in the video, if you want to get into the watch, you have to use a very narrow gap and then dig out. Previous models could use heat, but that’s over now.
After successfully opening the watch, a battery with a capacity of 327 mAh and a relatively large Taptic motor appear in front of the user. As for the battery, it is glued in place. So opening the watch is not the easiest and it takes a bit of skill to avoid damaging anything.

Low repairability score
Due to the dimensions of the watch, the repair is difficult because the individual components are placed close to each other. iFixit also noted that repairing the sensors will be very difficult for this reason. The result of the test is also the awarding of an assessment, where a score of 10 points represents excellent repairability and a score of 0 indicates very difficult repairability. The Apple Watch Series 10 received a repairability score of 3, which means it will be difficult to repair.
However, in the segment of wearable electronics, such as smart watches or rings, difficult repairability is almost the rule. The reason is, among other things, the small dimensions of the electronics and then the difficult access to the individual components.
