That Browser Company first came up with Arc for desktops: an app that offers the solution for tabs. You set up this web browser via ‘Spaces’. For example, you have a space for your work, your free time or a hobby. Each space has its own tabs and favorites. It is also useful that you can place multiple pages next to each other in the same window so that you do not have to work with multiple screens.
The Browser Company took a completely different approach for the mobile version. Arc Search has more of a focus on searching, as the name suggests, and then better presenting the information you are looking for.
You can also ask Arc to give you the latest news on a topic so you don’t have to look around to see who last wrote about it.
Summarize and the latest news
Of course you can also just visit websites as you are used to. It will be useful that you will soon be able to shrink any web page with two fingers, after which Arc Search will create a summary of it. Unfortunately, the Android version of Arc doesn’t have this feature yet, but it will be added later. We have already tried the feature in the iOS version of the app and can say that it is worth the wait.
The browser offers some other advantages, because trackers are automatically blocked and your old tabs are automatically archived. You can also indicate per website whether you want to block advertisements. Since websites need advertisements to exist, it is a good idea to disable these functions on your favorite websites.
Arc Search is especially interesting because it approaches the browser completely differently and it all looks super neat and fresh.
