Will Make First Appearance at MotoGP Mandalika

DAPURPACUID – Ahead of the MotoGP series at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, Astra Honda Motor (AHM) gave a surprise.

In the Mandalika MotoGP series on 27-29 September, AHM will send the Honda EM1 e: electric motorbike as a mode of mobility throughout the event.

A total of 10 Honda EM1 e: units have been handed over to the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA), which are used as a fleet for racers, teams, and racing event organizers on the circuit.

The presence of this motorbike is claimed to have made history as the first official electric motorbike to support world racing events such as MotoGP which is held at the Mandalika Circuit.

AHM Marketing Director, Octavianus Dwi said, the availability of electric motorbikes at MotoGP Mandalika is a form of AHM’s support for the government to make the motorbike racing event a success with a commitment to electrification.

“We hope that the presence of the Honda EM1 e: can make this race a success through its optimal performance, comfortable and safe to ride, and supported by complete charging facilities,” he said.

The handover of 10 Honda EM1 e units to MGPA completes 78 Honda ADV units and 3 CBR250RR units to support activities on the circuit in several previous world racing events.

Honda EM1 e: powered by a motor with a maximum power of 1.7 kW, which produces smooth yet responsive performance like using a conventional motorbike.

The support of the detachable MPP e: battery also provides convenience for consumers. Including charging via the Honda Power Pack Charger e: with a charging time of 2.7 hours (160 minutes) for 25%-75% and 6 hours for 0%-100%.

The MPP e: battery has IP65 protection which makes this battery resistant to dust and water splashes from all directions, and has international standardization UNR 136 thus ensuring the quality and safety of the MPP e: battery.

Visitors attending this annual race can also see and try out the complete technology and features of the Honda EM1 e: at the available booth.

Honda EM1 e: Wrapped in Racing Aura

The excitement of MotoGP and IATC Mandalika with Honda EM1 e: can be felt immediately by visitors as soon as they land at Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport, Praya, Central Lombok.

Honda EM1 e will be present: a special edition wrapped in Repsol Honda Team livery dominated by blue. Honda PCX160 with the same livery will accompany EM1 e: greeting NTB visitors.

Also present were two PCX160 modified motorbikes, the work of the Honda Dream Ride Project by the winners of the Honda Modif Contest, enlivening the presence of visitors to NTB.

Meanwhile, the CBR250RR ridden by Kiandra Ramadhipa completes the racing feel that visitors will feel when watching MotoGP in Mandalika. (dpid/TH)
