In Windows 11 version 23H2, Microsoft fixed the serious errors that this update had, so it is a good time to update it. So says Microsoft.
Windows 11 version 23H2 is now available to all users without critical bugs, announced the official Microsoft Windows Release Health page. The first release of the update was plagued with issues such as crashes and boot errors, especially for users of virtualization software. These bugs, along with minor issues related to photos and the dashboard, have now been fixed, allowing for a stable deployment of the update to the general public.
Update 23H2 brings several new features compared to previous versions. Highlights include Copilot, AI improvements for Painting, new accessibility features including voice input and live captions in multiple languages, and a redesigned File Explorer with an improved Gallery.
Some features, such as Copilot, have already been available in preview builds since June 2023 or have been backported to Windows 10. For users who have been putting off the update for fear of bugs, now is a good time to install it, as most of the really serious and annoying issues was resolved.
Future features, such as improved Copilot+ and Wi-Fi 7 support, will only be available with Windows 11 24H2, which is expected to arrive later this year. This version should be available mainly on devices with Snapdragon X Elite and Plus processors. Microsoft hopes to make the new version rollout process smoother than the current 23H2 update.
