Well, the day has come when all those interested can try Windows 11 23H2 on their own computers. The good news comes from the Learn section of Microsoft’s official website.

Windows 11 23H2: What new features it boasts

Microsoft introduced several interesting features on board Windows 11 23H2. we have, among others, so: native support for 7Z and RAR, plus a new volume mixer. With the latter, users will find it easier to change the volume for their favorite playback devices and apps.

Added to these are integrated controls for RGB lighting. The possibility to regroup the activity bar is also present among the novelties. With its help, users will be able to display each open application window as a separate icon. And let’s not forget the security patches that will land monthly.

How to install Windows 11 23H2

The update is easy to install and doesn’t have 100% different system requirements to be usable. Open Settings and navigate to Windows Update, then select Check for updates.

Microsoft announced that the 22H2 release is approaching the end of its scheduled support period in October 2024. From that point on, devices will become vulnerable to various attacks because they will no longer receive security patches month by month. This is also the reason why Microsoft will apply an automatic update to all devices with Windows 11 Pro and Home. They will simply switch from version 22H2 to 23H2. The end of support for Windows 11 23H2 will be next year, on November 11.
