California tech giant Microsoft officially launched on Thursday Windows application for computers with the operating system of the same name, mobile devices and macOS. Allows users to connect to a cloud PC anytime, anywherefor example from a bus stop.
On the mobile side, the Windows App is currently available for iOS and iPadOS platforms. Version for phones or tablets with Android is currently in the public preview phase – so it is not the final work, but you can download it now. On Google Play, however, it only shows up on the developer’s page, so you won’t find it through a search. Therefore, it will be easiest for you to use the box with the installation button located below.
As Microsoft explains in its blog postthe app is a gateway to connect to Windows within Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, Remote Desktop Services, Remote Desktop Services, Microsoft Dev Box, and more.
The main advantage of the Windows App therefore lies in the ability to manage multiple cloud computers or virtual desktops from a single place. The application simultaneously offers customizable home screens or support for multiple monitors. In addition, it can handle connected hardware, such as webcams or printers.
Windows App: Your gateway to Windows on any device
You can enter the application log in only through a work or school accountis therefore not intended for ordinary users (and probably won’t be in the future either). In the demo published by Microsoft itself, for example, we can notice how, thanks to the Windows App, actions on the computer can be continued, even if you leave it and go to another part of the workplace.
