There are few characters in film culture whose vehicles carry the same cultural recognition as their owners, but Batman and his Batmobile are arguably at the top of the list.
No Batmobile is more recognizable than the one created for Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy. Now thanks to Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP) and Relevance International, one can get an authentic Tumbler.
Just 10 Tumblers will be manufactured by Wayne Enterprises Experience, a Batman-inspired specialty luxury brand run by WBDGCP from 2022.
The vehicle is based on a special tubular steel frame, which houses the LS3 V8 6.2-liter engine that produces 525 horses with 659 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission, with the bodywork made from a mix of carbon, kevlar, polyester and metal panels, all painted black.
The vehicle cannot be legally driven on public roads and its interior is almost identical to the one in the film, although the company gives owners the opportunity to modify it according to their wishes. Its price is 2.99 million. dollars and has a fake jet system that doesn’t shoot flames, while weighing 2,500 kg.
