Silvio Heinevetter, former DHB goalkeeper and medalist at the 2016 Olympic Games, is an expert – and, among other things, a former Sky voice comments.

The handball world championship starts next week. While all games with German participation are broadcast free of charge on free TV on ARD and ZDF, all 108 matches of the tournament are available on Sportdeutschland.TV. The games can be booked there individually, and a tournament pass that costs 15 euros is also on offer. During the preliminary and main rounds, there will be at least one live conference every day in which a duo of commentators and experts will devote themselves to all parallel games, the service announces.

Dennis Baier will also be part of the on-air team. Baier may still be known to some as a commentator and presenter of Sky handball broadcasts. Tobias Schimon, Maik Thiele and Ulf Kahmke should also lead through the games. Paul Drux, a 127-time national player, is appearing as an expert on Sportdeutschland.TV for the first time. The 29-year-old only ended his active career in October and was part of the DHB squad until the end. Also part of the team of experts is Silvio Heinevetter, former DHB goalkeeper and medalist at the 2016 Olympic Games. This is also the 40-year-old’s first appearance on Sportdeutschland.TV. The trio is completed by ex-national player Ina Großmann. The former DHB left winger is a well-known face at the sports streaming provider; she was most recently active at the women’s European Championship in December.

“Exciting guests” from the world of sports will also be invited, the streaming service said. The final of the tournament will take place on February 2nd.
