In the images filmed in a restaurant, the pizza in front of the mayor is divided step by step. First, six people, representing the sector town halls, each take a large slice. Of what remains, significant chunks go to subsidies for heating, public transport, hospitals, theaters and street lighting.
In the end, the mayor is left with a small piece for investments in the development of the city, showing a displeased expression when he pays the bill.
“The city’s money is not distributed fairly. Currently, the sector town halls receive more money than the General Town Hall, although it has more responsibilities. For more investments in the Capital, we need to change the sharing of funds”, posted Nicusor Dan.
In order to change the situation, the citizens of Bucharest are called to a local referendum on November 24, where they will say whether they agree that the distribution of money between the Capital City Hall and the sectors should be decided by the General Council, whether the general mayor should approve all the constructions in Bucharest and if the Capital City Hall finances anti-drug programs in schools.
