An EL.AS officer with a rich resume is among the 4 police officers who, along with 15 other people, were arrested today by the Internal Affairs Service, as members of a criminal organization.
According to information from enikos.gr, the members of the criminal organization, collecting money, notified and covered the owners of illegal clubs and brothels, for the checks that the authorities would proceed with, or in case the checks were actually carried out, they helped them to get it out “pure”.
At the same time, the criminal organization was also committing fraud against the State, through the creation of 40 “ghost” companies that had homeless people as their “showcase”, and the non-payment of VAT.
It is noted that the arrested police officers were close to the gang leader’s entourage, while they also had the role of “guide” both for him and for the members of the organization.
The EL.AS officer who was arrested
The officer who was arrested, graduated from the Didymoteicho Police School, served in the Economic Police, before the establishment of the Organized Crime Directorate (Hellenic FBI).
He graduated from the Police Officers School of Didymoteicho and then from the Police Officers School, while he also has a degree in law. In fact, in 2019 she was awarded for her performance in the Greek Police.
According to information, the officer allegedly had a key role in the criminal organization, as she was next to its leader.
