A 44-year-old man was arrested for attacking his wife in front of their two younger children, when they were driving in a car, on the A4, in Matosinhos. After the crime, and still in panic, the woman managed to escape and ask for help at the police station.
The violent episode occurred on Wednesday morning. The family was on the highway when the woman was attacked by her husband. After the attacks, the suspect left the vehicle and the victim took the opportunity, locked the doors and went, together with the children, to the PSP where he asked for help.
Given the proximity, the man also walked to the police station. Even in front of the agents, he continued to be aggressive, insulting and threatening to kill the woman, who was injured in the face. Present in court, the attacker was remanded in pre-trial detention.
