Next week, a new Mexican crime series titled “Women in Blue” will debut in the Apple TV+ catalog. Apple has released a new promotional video.
“Ladies in Blue” will be a crime series set in the 1970s, based on true events, telling the story of the first women’s police unit in Mexico. The main characters will be four women who, shortly after joining the police, discover that their unit was created solely to divert media attention from the case of a serial killer that Mexican detectives are unable to catch. Enraged by this fact, they decide to take matters into their own hands and solve the crime themselves. The main roles will be played by Bárbara Mori, Ximena Sariñana, Natalia Téllez and Amorita Rasgado. In a new promotional video, the actresses and one of the directors and writers of the series, Fernando Rovzar, talk about its plot, characters and main themes.
The series “Women in Blue” will consist of ten episodes. The premiere of the first two is scheduled for July 31. The next ones will be added to the Apple TV+ catalog every week on Wednesday.
