dm Women’s race on October 6 on Ada: Women will run to help women
This year, the Belgrade Marathon, in cooperation with the company dm drogerie markt, will be the organizer of the increasingly popular dm Women’s race, which will take place on Ada Ciganlija on October 6, 2024. The women’s race, 7.7 kilometers long around Lake Sava, is being organized for the 17th time , is intended for women of all generations and aims to promote the importance of physical activity, especially running and walking, as a kind of prevention in preserving health, but also an unforgettable gathering, while strengthening solidarity through support and motivation.
This year’s dm Women’s race will also have a humanitarian character, since for every registration fee purchased, the title sponsor of this event, dm drogerie markt, in cooperation with the “Heroes of the Belgrade Marathon” Foundation, will donate a package of Jessa insoles to members of the Special Olympics from 16 clubs across Serbia, as well as to members Sports Association of Persons with Disabilities of Belgrade.
Women run for women
Women will thus run to help women, and this year’s novelty will be the holding of an expert panel intended for all interested runners who want to be additionally educated on numerous aspects of physical, reproductive and menstrual health. This panel will be held on September 18 as part of the announcement press conference for this sporting event.

All participants will receive a t-shirt and gifts from sponsors in the start package, and along with good fellowship and refreshments, as every year, an interesting entertainment program will be provided, as well as additional content for the youngest.
“Traditional DM Women’s Race is the fourth running event of the year organized by the Belgrade Marathon, which we are very proud of. We are particularly pleased that this race is growing from year to year in every sense, both quantitatively and qualitatively. Also, we are very proud of the fact that this year, thanks to the involvement of the “Heroes of the Belgrade Marathon” Foundation, in cooperation with our title sponsor dm drogerie markt, the dm Women’s Race will take on a humanitarian character. I am convinced that on October 6th we will gather a large number of women at Ada Ciganlija, who will thereby show their solidarity, but also enjoy the track in a unique racing atmosphere”, said Darko Habuš, director of the Belgrade Marathon.
Public training before the race
Another interesting novelty this year: in preparation for the dm Women’s Race on September 21 and 28, starting at 9 a.m., public training sessions will be held at Ada Ciganlija, so that all participants will be as prepared as possible, and all those who cross the finish line on October 6 will receive medals as well online diplomas.

We believe that such joint initiatives are the best way to promote the importance of taking care of one’s own health, and this is the greatest imperative for us. This year’s race, in the light of our fight against menstrual poverty, has taken on an additional humanitarian character, which, we believe, will give women even greater motivation to be there for each other,” said Svetlana Jovanović Mitić, departmental manager of Marketing and Communications dm Serbia and North Macedonia. .

Also, the Heroes of Belgrade Marathon foundation is preparing more pleasant surprises for all participants and visitors, with the desire to provide additional support and value to this event.
