Women’s Volleyball Bundesliga: Season starts today on FreeTV

Sport1 will cover the Women’s Volleyball Bundesliga in the new season and starts today with the Sparda-Bank Supercup.

It’s all about the first title of the new season! Sport1 is presenting the Sparda-Bank Supercup between the champions of the Women’s Volleyball Bundesliga Allianz MTV Stuttgart and SSC Palmberg Schwerin this Sunday live from 4:55 p.m. on free TV and in a free live stream on Sport1.de.

Stuttgart and Schwerin had already faced each other in the final of the German championship, with Stuttgart triumphing after five games and beating the main round winner Schwerin. Commentator Dirk Berscheidt reports from the Porsche Arena Stuttgart, with Pia Kästner, Volleyball Player of the Year 2023 and former Schwerin player, serving as an expert.

In the 2024/25 season, all eyes will be on champions Allianz MTV Stuttgart, who will once again be battling with SC Palmberg Schwerin for the top spot. Another question is how Dresdner SC and SC Potsdam, semi-finalists from the previous season, will perform. The season kicks off on Saturday, October 5, live from 5 p.m., when the top duel between Dresdner SC and USC Münster can be seen on matchday 3. A week later, there will be another live match between USC Münster, who will have to prove themselves in front of a home crowd against the Ladies in Black Aachen.
