Woori Bank (CEO Byeong-gyu Cho) announced on the 24th that it was the first domestic commercial bank to develop its own ‘W-Sketch’, a 3D image production model using generative AI technology.

‘W-Sketch’ can quickly create 3D images, icons, and illustrations simply by entering simple text commands. Going beyond simple 2D images to three-dimensional design work including 3D modeling, it will be possible to actively respond to the increasing demand for financial app graphic design.

By learning more than 4,000 images using Woori Bank’s externally generated AI model open source, we achieved a performance that reached 80% of the quality of the graphic design produced by the designer. The generated images are used in explanatory materials for customers of non-face-to-face channels such as Woori WON Banking.

In addition, Woori Bank plans to advance ‘W-Sketch’ to automate complex design tasks such as marketing banner images and interactive 3D objects. In addition, the plan is to maximize work efficiency and accelerate digital transformation by stably supplying various design resources needed by each department.

An official from Woori Bank said, “With the implementation of this W-Sketch, it has become possible to create 3D images on their own, providing a more three-dimensional and rich visual experience to customers using non-face-to-face channels such as WON Banking.” “Woori Bank will continue to develop design AI in the future.” “We will continue to advance our technology and strengthen our customized design services.”
