Woori FIS (CEO Baek-soo Kim), an IT subsidiary of Woori Financial Group, announced on the 17th that it has started the 5th ‘Our Dream Tree Digital Class’ for 170 students from specialized high schools across the country.
‘Our Dream Tree Digital Class’ is a digital/IT mentoring project for students attending specialized high schools, run by Woori FIS in collaboration with the ‘Heart Heart Foundation (Chairman Oh Ji-cheol)’.
This project, which began in 2019 and is now in its fifth year, has provided approximately 700 students from low-income families attending specialized high schools with the opportunity to acquire specialized knowledge in the digital and IT fields. In addition, Woori Financial Group’s digital and IT experts have served as talent donation mentors every year, providing students with opportunities to explore their career paths.
On the 16th, Woori FIS (CEO Baek-soo Kim) held the inauguration ceremony for the ‘5th Woori Dream Tree Digital Class’ at the Woori Finance Sangam Center, and had time to introduce the project in general along with awarding scholarships.
The 170 people selected this year will receive support for education expenses in digital and IT fields such as △ChatGPT △Artificial Intelligence (AI) △Programming Language from Woori FIS. They will also have time to directly experience the practical capabilities practically required in the digital and IT fields by participating in online and offline mentoring programs conducted by Woori Financial Group’s digital and IT experts.
