Tamás Menczer, Fidesz’s communications director, emphasized in his latest Facebook video that the employment loan is a novelty in Hungary, since until now only support was provided to young students:
“Work loans have never existed in Hungary. Student loans already existed and exist for those young people who are studying, but for the hard-working guys, as the Prime Minister said, who thought they would work early in their lives, they didn’t have such an opportunity,” said Menczer.
The government is introducing a HUF 4 million, 10-year term, interest-free and free-to-use credit option for young workers between the ages of 17 and 25: “This means that if the young man started a family at a young age, he can spend this money on his family. If you haven’t started a family yet and want to push another area of your life, you can use it for that too.”
He added that such support did not exist until now, and the worker’s loan now gives working young people this chance.
