In September, builders began implementing the first stage of the project to reconstruct the garden in the Daugavpils Fortress. At the moment, all planned work is being carried out according to schedule.
“At the moment, 15% of the work has been completed (for the months of September and October): 30 emergency trees have been eliminated, benches, asphalt pavement of paths, and a monument-fountain have been dismantled. At the moment, networks are being laid – water supply, sewerage, lighting, concrete work is being carried out on the new pool and pit with equipment for the fountain monument. It is planned to build all the networks before the winter cold, then go on a technological break, and complete all the improvements next year,” – shared Deputy of the Daugavpils Duma Igor Prelatov.
Construction work at this stage is planned to be completed by the summer of 2025. In general, the reconstruction of the Fortress Garden is planned to be carried out in 4 stages.
