A laborer was killed when an unidentified vehicle ran over him in Bogula Bazar area of Sitakunda, Chittagong. Bar Aulia Highway police confirmed the incident.
This accident happened today (December 29) at approximately 11:30 am on Sunday. The name of the deceased worker is Mohammad Taiz Uddin (47). He is the son of Mohammad Tofazzal Hossain, a resident of the area under Ballia police station in Bhola district.
According to local and highway police sources, laborer Taij Uddin was walking on the side of the road in Bogula Bazar area of Sonaichari Union on Dhaka-Chittagong highway. He was killed on the spot when an unknown speeding car ran over him.
After that, Bar Aulia Highway Police Station recovered his body from the spot and took it to the police station, said Abdul Momin, OC of Bar Aulia Highway Police Station.
He said, we came to know that Taiz Uddin used to work as a laborer with a road mason. He was killed on the spot when an unknown vehicle ran over him while he was walking on the side of the road in the area.
The family of the deceased worker has been informed.
