DAPURPACUID – There is something interesting if you visit the Honda booth on the last days of the 2024 Gaikindo International Auto Show, at ICE BSD City, Tangerang.
For the first time, PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) is showcasing Honda’s electric mobile café in the world to visitors under the name Honda Dreams Café Mobile.
Based on the Honda N-Van EV Prototype modified into a mobile café, it is claimed that this is the latest innovation as well as a socialization of the use of electric cars in Indonesia.
For your information, the construction of the Honda Dreams Café Mobile is a collaboration between Honda and Karoseri V-Clas, as a commercial vehicle body manufacturing company.
Meanwhile, the drinks and food served during the GIIAS 2024 event were provided by Dua Coffee, as one of the well-known local coffee brands.
PR & Event Department Head HPM, Yessy Anastasia said, Honda is always committed to providing education for sustainable technological innovation, while also getting closer to customers from various generations.
“Honda Dreams Café Mobile allows us to bring Honda’s innovations to more places, spreading joy while educating without having a negative impact on the environment,” he added.
The Honda N-VAN EV Prototype is an electric car resulting from the development of the Honda N-VAN commercial car which has been successfully marketed in Japan as a business commercial car.
On the exterior, modifications were made to the roof with the addition of a canopy, lights for lighting the outside area of the car, and portable chairs and tables.
The exterior is dominated by red and black stickers as a representation of Dreams Café, as well as supporting elements such as glass icons, coffee beans, and electric cables that symbolize the combination of an electric mobile café.
Stepping into the interior, the car has been modified to include a kitchen area complete with an espresso machine and beverage cooler, food storage space and an area for other equipment.
With all the modifications on this car, Honda Dreams Cafe Mobile is ready to serve customers efficiently in various strategic locations such as Car Free Day, city parks, community events, and other events.
All electrical power used during the operation of the Honda Dreams Café Mobile is supported by a portable external device from Honda, namely the Honda Power Exporter e: 6000.
This tool can convert car battery power into Alternating Current (AC) electricity, so that it can be used as a power source for electronic equipment used.
Zain Johansyah, Director of V-Clas Bodywork, said he was proud to be able to modify the Honda N-VAN EV Prototype electric car into a ‘mobile’ cafe fleet.
“With our experience in commercial vehicle modification, combined with Honda’s innovative vision, we finally produced a functional and aesthetic work of automotive art,” he said.
Honda also collaborated with Dua Coffee to provide all the menus available at the Honda Dreams Café Mobile during the GIIAS 2024 event. Previously, this collaboration had been carried out at the Honda Dreams Café outlet operating in Jakarta, from 2021 to 2023.
Especially for Honda Dreams Café Mobile, there are two special menus, namely ‘E-Latte-Fy’ and ‘Eco-spresso’, which are taken from the words electrify and eco, symbolizing environmentally friendly electric cars.
Wempi Januar Duhari, owner of Dua Coffee, explained that this innovative collaboration shows the company’s commitment not only to providing quality coffee, but also to innovation and environmental sustainability.
