In September 2023, the company’s valuation was at a level of more than $500 million. The funds Premji Invest, Radical Ventures, ICONIQ Growth, Salesforce Ventures, Adobe Ventures, IBM Ventures and others took part in the investment round. Two partners, Premji Invest and Radical Ventures, will join Writer’s board of directors.
The company will use the raised money to develop the platform, including the creation of AI agents that will be able to perform tasks for users in retail, healthcare and the financial sector.
Writer founded in 2020, entrepreneurs May Habib and Wasim Alshih. The company offers businesses its own generative neural networks Palmyra, a service for creating AI applications AI Studio and tools for working with data. Writer’s clients include Mars, Ally Bank, Qualcomm, Salesforce, Uber, Accenture, L’Oreal and Intuit.
