DAPURPACUID – Wuling Motors has again expanded the public’s choices in its electric vehicle product line, with the launch of the Air ev Lite Long Range, Friday (20/9).
The new variant of the Air ev Lite comes with the advantage of a claimed cruising range of up to 300 km on a single full battery charge.
On the sidelines of the launch at The Forum Mall Kelapa Gading 3, North Jakarta, Wuling Motors Marketing Operation Director, Liu Yan said that the new Air ev Lite variant is to meet consumer needs for practical electric cars with long range.
He further explained that the Wuling factory assembly model in Cikarang, West Java, is here to offer competitive prices plus a unique and modern design with a variety of attractive color choices.
“In addition, this EV is also supported by functional features so that it provides a practical, environmentally friendly and affordable driving experience,” said Liu.
Overall, there is no difference in appearance between this new variant and the previous Air ev Lite, which still has the compact dimensions typical of urban vehicles.
The Air ev Lite Long Range measures 2,974 mm in length, 1,505 mm in width, and 1,631 mm in height, offering a pleasant travel experience even in traffic jams.
The above configuration provides a sense of comfort for owners when parking in limited spaces and even when maneuvering on narrow roads.
This tiny car is equipped with a 26.7 kWh lithium ferro-phosphate (LFP) battery with an IP67 rating, which is supported by a 30 kW electric motor producing a peak torque of 110 Nm.
This electric car is equipped with Driver Airbag, ABS, EBD, tire pressure warning system (TPMS), Sound Module for Pedestrian Warning, ISOFIX and High Strength Steel Body Structure.
Not only that, Air ev Lite Long Range applies a 7-inch TFT full color meter cluster screen, an ergonomic rotary gear selector with 3 driving mode options, namely Normal, Sport and Eco.
With a special price tag of IDR 190 million which includes VAT incentives for the Jakarta area, Wuling also announced an attractive promo for the purchase of this model.
“Another advantage of the Air ev Lite Long Range is the Lite Price with a special price of IDR 190 million for the Jakarta area and includes VAT incentives,” explained Liu.
The promo offered is a free lifetime core EV components warranty, which covers the main components of an electric car including the power battery, drive motor and motor control unit.
There is also free extensive maintenance for up to 8 years or 150,000 kilometers, free insurance, and a free electricity voucher for 1 year worth IDR 2 million.
