The Xbox Game Pass Standard library has been expanded with four new titles, including Turnip Boy Robs a Bank and three other games. These add-ons have already been available to some Xbox Game Pass users since the first half of 2024.
Back in late summer, Microsoft revamped its subscription service by ditching the old console tier in favor of Xbox Game Pass Standard. Priced at $14.99 per month, this subscription has a more limited library compared to PC Game Pass and XGP Ultimate as it does not include games that are available on the day of release. Since then, Microsoft has been gradually adding some games that were previously available on the day of release to the Standard tier library.
The most recent expansion took place on November 6, when the Xbox Game Pass Standard catalog received four new titles. This group consists of The Rewinder, Turnip Boy Robs a Bank, Go Mecha Ball and Harold Halibut. All of these games were released in 2024, although The Rewinder is technically a 2021 game that was only ported to Xbox consoles in April 2024, when it was unexpectedly added to Xbox Game Pass.
Xbox Game Pass Standard subscribers can play Go Mecha Ball, Turnip Boy Robs a Bank and The Rewinder on the last two generations of Microsoft consoles. On the other hand, the narrative-driven adventure Harold Halibut is only available on Xbox Series X/S at this subscription level. Back in July 2024, Microsoft stated that launch day games could only arrive on Xbox Game Pass Standard after at least six months, with the wait time determined on a case-by-case basis. November’s wave of add-ons confirms this strategy, as all four games have already been available to PC Game Pass and XGP Ultimate members for between seven and ten months.
Upcoming games on Xbox Game Pass
Based on Microsoft’s release patterns since the end of the summer, it’s possible that XGP Standard will get another game pack before the end of the month. If that happens, these upcoming releases will likely be detailed in the second part of the Xbox Game Pass lineup announcement for November 2024. This wave is already known and includes STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl and Nine Souls, which are scheduled to arrive on the 20th and 26th. November, respectively.
Before that, Goat Simulator Remastered will be available on PC Game Pass and XGP Ultimate on November 7th. After that, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 arrives on November 19, four days after the service removed seven titles from its ever-changing content library.
