Chinese President Xi Jinping promises to work with the new United States administration, led by Donald Trump.
Xi Jinping and Joe Biden met this Saturday, in Lima, Peru, on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum.
The Chinese leader says that the country wants to “maintain communication, expand cooperation and manage differences” between the two countries.
Biden recalls that they did not always agree, but that their discussions were “frank” and “sincere”.
This would have been the last meeting between the two, as Biden will be replaced by Trump in the White House from January.
