Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro already officially unveiled before launch

Xiaomi has revealed its latest top devices, but has not yet revealed anything about the specifications. This is what they look like.

This is what the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro look like

Xiaomi presents one smartphone after another. Less than a month ago we were at the launch of the Xiaomi 14T (Pro) and now the manufacturer is unveiling the next top devices: the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro. It mainly concerns the design of the smartphones and a number of important specifications. Xiaomi will announce all other information during the launch on October 29.

The images below show the Xiaomi’s very clearly. The phones both have a design with flat sides, yet rounded edges. That gives them a striking appearance. The 15 has a completely flat screen, while the 15 Pro’s screen bulges slightly. The camera island of the 15 is made of one piece of glass, while the 15 Pro has four separate lenses. The cameras have again been developed in collaboration with Leica.

Then the specs, about which there is not much to say yet. We know that the Xiaomi 15 will have a screen size of 6.36 inches, with an AMOLED panel. It has a refresh rate of 120Hz for smooth images. The thin and symmetrical screen edges of 1.38 millimeters all around are striking. This makes the phones look premium.

The rest remains to be seen

Xiaomi does not reveal any further specifications, but as always there are plenty of rumors going around online. The phones ran on the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite (the successor to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3). That chip is faster and more energy efficient than its predecessor, which makes the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro real flagships.

The battery and charging also seem noticeably improved. The Pro is said to have a battery capacity of 6000 mAh, which was previously 4880 mAh. It is not yet known how quickly this battery charges wired. However, wireless charging may be a lot faster: from 50 watts to 90 watts on the Pro model.

The Xiaomi 15 series succeeds the Xiaomi 14 and seems to be a nice upgrade. Full details will be announced at the launch event on October 29. It is not yet known how much the new smartphones will cost. The Xiaomi 14 came onto the market with a starting price of 1099 euros, but is now available for €699.
