- Android 15 with HyperOS 1.1 heading to global Xiaomi on 14
- Chinese users are already testing the more modern HyperOS 2.0
- Xiaomi is once again prioritizing the domestic market over the rest of the world
Xiaomi continues its two-track strategy of releasing updates. While the owners of the flagship model 14 in global markets are now receiving the stable version of Android 15 with the HyperOS 1.1 superstructure, Chinese users are already testing the more modern HyperOS 2.0. This situation is not unusual for Xiaomi – the brand traditionally prioritizes its home market over the rest of the world.
The international update comes in two versions – European users will receive a build with the label OS1.1.4.0.VNCEUXMother global markets then version OS1.1.3.0.VNCMIXM. Based on Xiaomi’s practice so far, it can be assumed that the update only applies to the basic model 14, while the Ultra version should follow in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, the Chinese market is testing the HyperOS 2.0 stable beta, which is available for all variants of the 14 series, including the Pro and Ultra models. The system runs on a new kernel HyperCorewhich, according to the manufacturer, should reduce processor idle time by 19%. The set is also a significant novelty HyperAI with functions such as automatic transcription of calls, generation of moving wallpapers or own AI assistant. There is also improved connectivity between Xiaomi devices using the Home Screen+ feature.
The good news is that HyperOS 2.0 will gradually expand to more than 60 models including popular lines Redmi Note 12 a 13, LITTLE F5 whether Xiaomi Pad 6. Of the older ones, the update should also apply to phones such as Xiaomi Mi 11 or Xiaomi 12T Pro. It is not yet clear when exactly the individual models will arrive. In any case, it will understandably also head to Europe in time.
As for the international update to Android 15 itself, it does not bring any revolutionary changes. Users can mainly look forward to the optimization of the home screen, lock screen and overview of running applications, but most of the news took place under the hood. The update has not yet arrived for our editorial piece.
